Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. As well as BJJ classes She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. Invicta 16, she was able to go into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a match that was a replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a unanimous decision against her.
